Why the Right Colors On Your Website Are So Important
Color is all around us. Everywhere we look, we see a remarkable array of hues and shades. Most every person has a favorite color, one they prefer over other colors. It’s not surprising to discover that the use of color in advertising can enhance or detract from your marketing message.
Let’s take a look at an example. Red is a powerful color that can be powerful when used in moderation, but overbearing when over-used. Red is the color of passion and action. Use it as an accent color to draw attention to important parts of your site, such as buttons that entice them to purchase or click.
Now let’s take a look at the color red’s polar opposite — green. Green is the color of grass, trees and of course, money. Green indicates a level of safety and offers the quiet assurance that passionate red does not. It also invokes a feeling of abundance. Then there’s blue. Did you know that the color blue acts as an appetite suppressant? It’s an awful color for food-related products, but it’s perfect for the corporate world.
As you can see, different colors have different associations for the human brain. Consult with a knowledgeable graphic designer to create the most effective color scheme for your site.

Good post, but how do you know which colours will work best for your target market? I guess this is something a good graphic designer will bring to the table.

Branding, Marketing Mediums are normally a clean layout with either warm or cold color schemas but in every situation the appliation of the color and image cycle is really key.
Bottom Line, We all have our own design styles and what we think looks good but the bottom line is how we implement colors and showcase them to our clients is key.
